The McCulloch manuals are detailed and very descriptive at what you need to do to maintain your chainsaw.As for keeping the chain sharp to adjusting the chain and making it more effective.A dull chain makes for a long day cutting wood.There is one thing to remember when you have stored your saw for a long period of time the gas left in the tank may cause the gas line to softening and be none productive.Whats happens is the gas line becomes soft and collapse from sitting in the gas which causes the carburetor not to get the gas it needs and will not allow it to run.The best thing to do is to take it to your local saw shop and let them change the gas line in it.
